At the service of street children

Based in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, on the hills of Mvolyé, the Home l'Espérance is a diocesan non-profit association, recognized as being of public interest by the Cameroonian state, dedicated to the protection of children in difficulty.

Created in 1977, on the initiative of Brother Yves Lescanne, it works for the reception, protection and family and social reintegration of children and young people from the street and from the city's prison. It has four centers: the Mvan listening center, the Brother Yves Lescanne house, the Noah's Ark home, as well as the socio-educational center in the minors' section of the Yaoundé central prison.

As a Christian organization, the Home l'Espérance is inspired by the love and predilection of Jesus for the children, the youngest and the excluded of our society, without distinction of race, religion or nationality.

An education of excellence

Opened on October 25, 1965 by nuns of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross, the Catholic College of Saint Elizabeth in Korhogo was originally reserved exclusively for the training of young girls.

In fifty years, it has positioned itself as one of the best private educational institutions in Côte d'Ivoire and has participated in the training of many executives.

PROSALMAG: Promotion, Health and Alternatives Mauricio Garrigou

The project is located in Tarapoto, in the department of San Martin in Peru.

PROSALMAG has two main areas of intervention:

• Strengthening the education of children and the training of low-income women,

• Integral health care, both in the supply of medicines and food, as well as in the revaluation of complementary medicine and the care of nature.

Restore the taste for live

"We accompany those who suffer in body and heart, giving them concrete fraternal help, hope in friendship and faith; we want to be a sign of hope and a service of communion among men."

The Maria Deepthi dispensary is located in the same place as the college and the house of  the Sisters Servants of Mary in Panakahalli, a village in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. It welcomes the most vulnerable and needy population (elderly, women, children).

The Servants of Mary are very involved in this mission and offer permanent support to the people who come to them, doing everything possible to "give them a taste for life".

The center provides preventive and basic health care, treats cases that do not require hospitalization and administers medication if necessary. It ensures the follow-up of patients and home visits for those who are unable to travel.

Welcoming, peace, tenderness and human dignity

Under the aegis of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross, the Jubilee Center Korhogo, in the north of the Ivory Coast, receives all the mentally ill from the northern region, Burkina, Mali and the sub-region. Every year we receive about five hundred new cases of mental illness. These are people who are ridiculed, mocked, bullied, and beaten.

We want to be a place of welcome, of peace, of tenderness, of family and social integration, we want to give back dignity and value to each patient. Through care (neuroleptic drugs), through listening, through prayer together, through work, through study, through games. Health center Notre-Dame de la Compassion

The Sisters of Our Lady of Compassion have been present in Cameroon since 1965.

The Congregation has supported the construction of a dispensary in Mimboman, a working class neighborhood of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. It is equipped with: general medicine, pediatrics, nursing, ophthalmology, dentistry, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology and ultrasound.

In addition, the construction of a maternity ward and a children's hospital will soon be completed, which will allow us to better assist this most vulnerable part of the population.
