Maria Deepthi High School

Learning by doing

"The child is like a plant that must one day bear great fruits, but its development requires wise, intelligent and constant care."

Maria Deepthi School, located in Panakahalli, a village in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India, is a primary and secondary school. The mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary and the teaching staff is the integral development of the students, preparing them to create a better society, under the guidance of Mary, our Mother Protector.

The main objective is to provide students with a platform to develop their social and leadership skills, shape their interests and hobbies and give importance to the concept of "learning by doing". Therefore, we strive to create clubs such as a literary club in three languages, namely English, Tamil and Kannada, a dance club, a music club, a math club, a science club, and a social and sports club. Students have the opportunity to choose which club they wish to be involved in and from there they prepare various projects, both inside and outside the classroom, related to their curriculum and practical life.
